From 4th to 7th September 2018, P.E.R. presented its portfolio for the shipping industry at SMM, the world's leading trade fair for the maritime industry, in Hamburg.
As a manufacturer of escape and rescue control systems, P.E.R. presented safety solutions for the evacuation of persons on ships at the SMM. In addition to safety signs, escape route plans and cabin signage, these also included photoluminescent and electrical escape route systems.
A focal point and attraction at the SMM was therefore the new photoluminescent Guideline® Alu 1/5 low-location guidance system (LLL), which features extremely high luminosity and PVC-free components. "With different designs, ranging from different colours to wooden decor, Guideline® Alu 1/5 can be optimally integrated into the interior of the ship," comments Lars Diestel, Managing Director of P.E.R. "It thus meets the most modern design requirements and also fulfils the highest safety standards.
P.E.R. also presented a preview of a new low-location guidance system with LED technology, which shows the shortest path to the exit dynamically and adaptively in the event of a fire.
For integrated fire protection, P.E.R. presented a novel mini fire extinguishing unit that extinguishes a fire automatically and directly at the source without leaving any residue.
