Everybody knows it, many people do it: just ordering shoes and fashion on the world wide web and shortly afterwards holding the parcel in their hands full of excitement.
But what happens if a fire at the online retailer might endanger the process? In this case, sprinkler and smoke extraction systems should keep the damage as low as possible. To ensure this, they must be supplied with power even in the event of a failure of the public grid.
At this point PERMALUX comes into play: For the new construction of an office building of a well-known fashion mail order company from Berlin, PERMALUX supplied a 630kVA emergency power system in a modified 30' container. In the event of a mains failure, they secure the power supply for the sprinkler pumps and smoke extraction systems.
All work here was carried out from a single source. This included not only the delivery of the emergency power supply system with the help of a construction crane, but also the installation of the 3,000 liter tank system as well as the laying and installation of approx. 100m of double-walled safety pipe from the basement up to the roof. PERMALUX also carried out or accompanied the commissioning and final acceptance by an expert.
